How to Evaluate a Flight Deal

Seeing a low fare doesn't always mean it's a good deal. This scorer considers multiple factors beyond just price to give you a holistic score: how much you're saving versus the typical price, flight duration, number of connections, and overall airline quality.

What Makes a Score of 80+?

An incredible deal combines significant savings over the typical route price with a reasonable flight duration, minimal stops, and a reputable airline. Scores above 80 are rare and indicate you should book quickly, as these fares rarely last more than a few hours.

Using the Scorer Effectively

Check Google Flights or Kayak for the typical fare on your route to get an accurate baseline price. Then enter the deal you found along with the flight details. The scorer weights price savings most heavily (50% of the total score), followed by duration, stops, and airline quality.
